THE MEMBERSHIP

What is in a Membership?
  • Memberships are sold in blocks of 13 deliveries
    • 13 food deliveries, weekly or bi-weekly
    • Access to manage online account and delivery/food preferences
    • Preferred pricing/access to local producer special offers and events
  • Trial memberships (3 deliveries) are available
  • At the end of the 13-week full membership, members continue with week-to-week deliveries; following the end of the 3-box trial membership, members have the option to convert to a full membership.
  • Members are required to contribute to the sustainability fund to offset carbon emissions ($1 per Box)
  • There is a one-time refundable Box deposit of $20  
  • 13-week memberships can be paid week-to-week; 3-week trial memberships are paid in advance
  • We accept cash, cheque or Visa/Mastercard; your card is not charged until your first box is shipped
  • Refer new members for a $10 credit against future shipments

The Sustainability Fund

  • $1/box from each member
  • Used to offset CO2 emissions associated with the delivery and production of the box contents
  • Projects may include tree planting, waste reduction, biofuels purchase, carbon offset purchases

The Shared Heap

  • Members are encouraged to compost their organic waste wherever possible
  • The Organic Box newsletter provides home composting tips and support
